Service Description
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency procedure, performed in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person in cardiac arrest. The Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for all healthcare professionals. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required for RNs working in critical areas or with adults. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required for RNs working with pediatric patients. The minimum requirement is high School or its equivalent, and a professional healthcare specialty license.
